Brian MacPherson was the second male finisher, in 1:33:55, while Lance Risi finished third in 1:34:22.
The first woman was Sara Schuler, who finished fourth overall and almost 12 minutes ahead of her closest competitor, in 1:42:55. Heather Ray was the second woman in 1:54:29 and Amber Miller was third in 1:54:53..
Seventy-two people competed in the race, which was the third event in the 2018 Evergreen Trail Racing Series, five races on challenging mountainous terrain in and around Evergreen put on by Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD).
Staunton State Park, located in Pine, is Colorado's newest state park, offering breathtaking views, rich Colorado history, diverse plant and wildlife, rock climbing and several miles of trails. From high grassy meadows at 8,100 feet to soaring granite cliffs over 10,000 feet, Staunton State Park's varied geology, soils, water features, and climate support rare and unexpected plant communities and a rich diversity of wildlife and provide a myriad of outdoor recreation opportunities.

- Aug 25 - Bergen Peak Half-Marathon - Bergen Peak Half-Marathon runners will endure the rolling hills of Elk Meadow and the strenuous switchbacks of Bergen Peak and Too Long Trail, ascending approximately 1,500 feet.
- Oct 6 - Fall EverGold 10-Miler - The Fall EverGold 10-milers is an out-and-back race in Lair O' the Bear Open Space Park in Idledale that takes runners along Bear Creek and up the mountain toward Pence Park before descending to the finish.
Cost
Race registration is $35 in advance and $40 race day. All registrants receive a pair of custom performance running socks.
