Maui has been on my blog before; he's been kind of an obsession for me these past couple yeas. He's basically a Polynesian Hercules. In one story, the days go by too fast, and people don't have enough daylight to do their work. So Maui snares the sun, pulls it in, and beats it into submission. That's why we have a 24 hour day.
