This summer and autumn, Mars Hill will be looking at each of the 50 states in the Union, with regards to the November elections. Today we look at Iowa
The 29th State in the Union, joining in 1846, Iowa's chief industries include biotechnology and insurance.
A heavily Republican State, it's Governor is Republican and only one representative at Federal level is a Democrat, although it had a Democrat Governor within the past decade and a Democrat Senator as late as two years ago. In the Democrat Primary, Hillary Clinton overtook Bernie Sanders by a fraction of a percentage, and in the Republican Primary Ted Cruz was ahead of Donald Trump 28% by 24%. I therefore, on the basis of the evidence given, declare this an uncertain with regards to who Iowa will back in November
