alexander Wang releases his ready to wear ladies collection

feast your eyes ladies. on Alexander Wang's new collection. Oh yeah, we went there...... anyway. his show consisted of, a very gothic business like warrior type vibe. He cut up and deconstructed the traditional business suit to make something totally different all together. He mixed soft fabrics such as velvet and leather together to make an amazing outfit. mixed the blue and the black together. Included a lot of beading, thigh high velvety boots and a few capes thrown in for good measure. this season at Wang, the gLoth is back....
the velvet legging. the most difficult thing you'll ever wear. every few fabrics sit comfortably with velvet. its more a riding up uncomfortably sort of fabric.....
see through panels of sheer fabric with heavy velvet.
the deconstructed pinstriped suit.
city shorts over trousers? an awkward one. but i like the effect above. Looks like the business short is back!
this jacket is a little too 15 year old goth boyfriend jacket for me I am afraid!

thigh highs coming into play here. Although I can't see if they are boots, shoes, leg warmers or suspenders in this shot

again the deconstructed business wear and thigh highs, it's all city girl is back! business first, but the boots mean seriously, business first!

We wanted to start the season off with a very opposite direction from last season. I wanted something almost uptight, buttoned-up, pristine and strict in a way, but then how we can take that idea of the three-piece suit and Savile Row jacket and cut it and give it that energy and rawness that our girl loves? And then it goes into velvet of every sort and kind," Wang told WGSN 

which is true I would normally associate Wang with loose unstructured clothing and bags. sporty feeling scoopy things. Not structured business suits, boxy shapes. but it's good to see the brand change direction. Proving that he can design different things. pushing the boundries of his comfort zone. And altogether I have found this collection to be very wearable and interesting. Very very must have pieces and boots. I LOVE the dark blue velvet. I missed the velvet trend last season as I just was not feeling it. but this season, I think I will.
