LONDON FASHION WEEK : Topshow Unique SS13

My god if Topshop Unique are doing simplistic design then you know something is happening! I think we are seeing the first 'trend' come forward! It's one thing when you see a trend take place at NYFW, you sort of, reserve it because LFW and MFW are still to come. Each fashion week has its own pace and vibe but you get an idea from New York about what is to come. I am guessing so far that white and simplistic is the vibe for next season!

It isn't that I associate Topshop Unique with complicated clothing but rather far from it. I think TU have to be careful because they are catwalk clothing that has to appeal to the high fashion set who can afford Gucci but yet have to appeal to the people on the street like me who can't afford a take away coffee. Topshop Unique are seen as a gateway brand between here and the catwalk.

What of the show though? Well if Jacobs is showing stripes then London will throw out squares! I guess its sort of kinda lines....but if you look past the stripes then you see a very simplistic and wearable show. I mean, personally, I look for a bit more BAM then this but in fashion terms, this is very sell-able and very buy-able. The reason for this being that is tran-seasonal. That amazing fashion word which means that it can be worn all seasons and not identified as 2012, 2013 or 2011....

It can also be described as something that can be worn in spring and summer - however, white is not that color.....

They moved from white and black to using block colors and this was the part of the show I liked the best : sweaters and skirts. I love this. It look so fashion without being too fashion and also, its comfy!!!! YES! I will also be mixing my greys with my metallics....
