Ricky Martin Turns Up the Heat With "Come With Me"

After announcing the fact that he has always been a proud gay man, Latin heartthrob and world's sexiest father, Ricky Martin, returns to the music scene after serving as a judge on Australia's version of The Voice. Following the 2011 release of his ninth studio album and a greatest hits effort, Martin returns to his rightful place in the dance industry with the uptempo, club-ready single "Come With Me". Filled with sexual innuendos that will make anyone's temperature rise and a catchy pop beat that will bring everyone to the dancefloor, the new track marks the return of the dominate, seductive, Latin pop commander. Known mainly recently for his Spanish-language creations, it is good to hear the artist, who made my 90s memorable, produce an addictive number ready to remain lodged in your head.

Similar to the sound of Jennifer Lopez' recent release, "Live It Up", Ricky's new single starts off loud and strong and never loses that energy. The artist's vocals are sultry and hypnotizing, just as I remember them to be, as he sings not-so-subtle lyrics about his desire to spend a lust-filled night with that special someone. "Your fingers on my trigger, you play it like a winner, you're pulling me on top," he sings just as my heart rate starts to pick up. There is no doubt in my mind that the entire song is about sex, but that may be the main reason it is successful. Martin is not afraid to sing about the subject matter, why should he be?

"Come With Me" is a fantastic dance track with the Latin flare we have come to expect from the singer. When fans have contemplated what Martin's return to the club scene would sound like, this is the song they probably had in their mind. From the moment it begins, to the climatic soaring notes and ending, the sexy, infectious track keeps listeners intrigued and moving, wondering why it took Ricky so long to release a song of this caliber. Hopefully the single is just the start of a pop-heavy, dance worthy new album because "Come With Me" is starting to create buzz that surely will not die anytime soon. I can already imagine the sweaty music video. A boy can dream right?
