The rapper has come for the first lady of the USA, after a former Republican Congressional candidate claimed America needs more Melanias rather than more Cardis.
DeAnna Lorraine had previously criticised Cardi and Megan’s summer anthem WAP, claiming the 'disgusting and vile song' ‘just set the entire female gender back by 100 years’.
And following Melania’s speech supporting her husband at the Republican convention, Lorraine continued her feud with Cardi, tweeting: ‘America needs far more women like Melania Trump and far less like Cardi B.’
However, the 27-year-old rapper – real name Belcalis Almanzar – wasn’t going to let that slide.
Cardi tweeted: ‘Didn’t she used to sell that Wap?’
She then shared a picture from Melania’s 1995 shoot for the now defunct French magazine Max, for which she posed entirely naked.
Cardi quoted her own song, writing: ‘This pic giving me “ yea you f***in wit some wet a** p***y “ vibes …just sayin [sic].’
Trump, 50, posed for the racy shoot when she was 25 years old, which also featured a picture of her posing with another nude female model, and when the New York Post published the photos in 2017, her husband – who was then running for president – defended the shoot.
He said: ‘Melania was one of the most successful models and she did many photo shoots, including for covers and major magazines.
‘This was a picture taken for a European magazine prior to my knowing Melania. In Europe, pictures like this are very fashionable and common.’
Melania, born Melanija Knavs, also posed nude for GQ Magazine.
